Information We Collect
Information you give us. When you fill out a form or request an estimate, we collect what you enter: typically your name, phone number, email address, address or ZIP code, the services you need, and any notes or photos you send.
Calls and voicemails. Calls to our business line may be recorded. Voicemails are recorded and transcribed so we can read them and call you back.
Text messages. When you text us, we keep the messages and any photos you send as part of your service record.
Payments. Payments are handled by Square. We see what you bought and how you paid, but Square processes your card details; we do not store full card numbers.
Information collected automatically. When you visit our website, we and our providers collect information such as your device and browser type, pages viewed, clicks, the website or ad that brought you here (including ad click identifiers), and approximate location from your IP address. This is collected with cookies and similar technologies, including session replays (described below).
How We Use Your Information

- Send appointment confirmations, reminders, and follow-ups, including a request to review our service
- Process payments through Square (our payment processor)
- Keep service records for our workmanship guarantee and follow-up visits

Text Messages and AI-Assisted Replies
When you provide your phone number and agree to receive texts through our website, call our business line, or text us directly, we may send you SMS (text) messages about your service request. This includes missed-call follow-ups, appointment confirmations and reminders, quote details, service conversations with our office and your technician, and a review request after your job.
Some of our replies to your texts are written automatically with the help of AI from Anthropic. Voicemail transcription and summaries are done with AI from OpenAI. These providers process the content of your messages or voicemail only to produce the reply or transcript for us.
We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile phone number or SMS opt-in information with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. We use your phone number to contact you about your service and, in hashed (scrambled) form, to measure the results of our own ads, as described below. Texts are delivered through Twilio, our SMS provider.
You can opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message from us. For assistance, reply HELP. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies based on your service request. See our Terms of Service for full SMS program details.
Analytics and Session Replays
We use PostHog to understand how visitors use our website. This includes session replays, which record pages viewed, mouse movements, clicks, and scrolling so we can see where the site is confusing or broken. What you type into form fields is masked in session replays. When you submit a request, we may link your visit to that request using a hashed identifier so we can see which pages led to it.
Advertising
We use the Google Ads tag on our website to measure which ads lead to requests and to show our ads to people who have visited our site (remarketing). Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to show ads based on your past visits to our website and other websites.
When you submit a request, we may send Google a hashed (scrambled) copy of the contact details you gave us, such as your email address, phone number, and name, so Google can match it to an ad click and tell us which ads worked (Google calls this "enhanced conversions"). If we use Meta (Facebook) conversion tools, they work the same way.
You can opt out of personalized advertising from Google at Google Ads Settings, and from many other ad companies at aboutads.info. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
Who We Share Information With
We do not sell your personal information for money, and we do not rent or trade it. We share information only with the service providers that help us run our business, and only as needed for the work they do for us:
- Website hosting and security: Vercel (hosting), Upstash (spam and abuse protection), Sentry (error monitoring)
- Customer records: Supabase (database)
- Calls and texts: Twilio
- Payments and invoices: Square
- Email and documents: Google Workspace
- AI-assisted replies and transcription: Anthropic, OpenAI
- Website analytics: PostHog
- Advertising measurement: Google, and Meta if we use its conversion tools
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights, our customers, or our staff.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Our website does not respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals. Where practical, we treat a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal from your browser as a request to opt out of sharing your information for advertising purposes.
Data Security
We implement reasonable security measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
