Towns we cover
Where we work in Mid-City & Uptown
North Park
ZIP 92104
North Park has one of the city's largest collections of Craftsman bungalows. Their wood window frames have often shifted out of square over a century, so we measure each opening rather than assuming they match, and build every screen in the van.
South Park & Golden Hill
ZIP 92102
South Park and neighboring Golden Hill sit along the east edge of Balboa Park, with Craftsman and Victorian-era houses and small apartment buildings. Many window screens here are custom sizes, and some older homes have double-hung windows, which the tech quotes separately.
Normal Heights
ZIP 92116
Normal Heights runs along Adams Avenue above Mission Valley, with bungalows from the 1910s to the '40s and small apartment buildings. Older screen frames here are often bent or held in with makeshift clips; a new standard-style screen is $55.
Kensington
ZIP 92116
Kensington, at the east end of Adams Avenue, is known for its 1920s and '30s Spanish Revival homes. Casement windows are common in these houses; casement screens are priced differently, so a photo when you call speeds things up.
University Heights
ZIP 92103, 92116
University Heights sits between Hillcrest and North Park along Park Boulevard. It mixes early-1900s houses with 1950s and '60s apartment buildings, so a typical visit is a few custom window screens or an apartment's sliding door.
Also nearby
College Area
ZIP 92115
The College Area, around San Diego State, is mostly mid-century single-family homes, many of them rentals. If you rent one out, doing every screen in the house in one visit between tenants keeps it to a single trip.
Downtown
ZIP 92101
Downtown means condos: East Village, Little Italy, Cortez Hill and the Marina district. Most jobs are sliding screen doors onto balconies; let us know about loading docks, parking and building rules when you book.

Yes. Golden Hill (92102) is covered together with South Park.
I rent my apartment. Who should book, me or my landlord?
Either. Whoever is paying should book, and someone needs to be there to let the tech in.
Do you work in downtown high-rises?
Yes, on screens for sliding doors and windows that can be reached from inside the unit. Tell us the floor and send a photo when you call.
