Carlsbad

Carlsbad runs from Carlsbad Village and the beach streets west of I-5 to Calavera Hills, Bressi Ranch, Aviara and La Costa. The newer neighborhoods tend to have associations and large sliding patio doors; near the Village, older beach cottages have small window screens in odd sizes that we build to fit.
Encinitas

We cover Leucadia, Old and New Encinitas, Olivenhain and Cardiff-by-the-Sea (92007). Cottages near Coast Highway take the full force of the salt air, while homes up in Olivenhain have bigger lots, more doors and stronger sun.
Solana Beach

Solana Beach is small but varied: condos and bluff-top homes near Fletcher Cove, and single-family streets around Lomas Santa Fe Drive. Near the bluffs, salt and wind wear screens quickly, and UltraVue mesh is worth considering wherever the view is the point.
Del Mar

Our Del Mar work covers the city and its hillside streets as well as Del Mar Heights, all in 92014. Homes here are often built for the view, with big west-facing windows and sliders, which is where a clear mesh or a retractable screen makes the most sense.
Rancho Santa Fe

Homes in the Covenant and in Fairbanks Ranch tend to be large, with many doors and windows and plenty of openings that aren't standard sizes. These are usually whole-house jobs, so send photos when you call; the tech can price it ahead and bring enough material.

North County Coastal questions
Do you install retractable screens on beach-facing French doors?
Yes, Roll-A-Way only: $699 for a single door and $1,299 for a French set, installed. If your size and color are in stock it goes in the same day; otherwise we measure, order and install when it arrives.
How do I keep a sliding screen door rolling near the beach?
Vacuum the bottom track every month or two, wipe it with fresh water, and use a dry silicone spray rather than oil, which holds sand. When the rollers are flat or the frame has bowed, a new door starts at $329.
